Dr. Prashant Bhand
MBBS, MRCP UK, MRCP Ireland, FCPS CO-Founder & MANAGING DIRECTOR
Dr. Prashant is an experienced gastroenterologist with 15 years of rich patient-care background in the UK, Ireland, and India. He also has the honour of being a member of the Royal College of Physicians both in the UK and Ireland. His passion for helping the medical fraternity through upskilling and mentoring and his love for technology has motivated him to start Apricus Med-Tech. In his role as a Doctorprenuer and the Managing Director at Apricus Med-Tech, he leads the overall vision of our company and is also responsible for the overall knowledge and content Delivery.
Along with his patient-care experience working with NHS, Dr. Prashant had the opportunity to serve as a faculty at various Medical Schools both in the UK and Ireland. This experience helped him realize the gaps in the traditional education delivery at Medical schools and various ways it can be completely transformed to make it more student-centric. At the same time, his own experience as a Medical Doctor and interacting with fellow doctors from various countries helped him discover the needs of doctors looking for continuing Medical Education (CME) courses. These perspectives have made Dr. Prashant undertake the mission of transforming the way Medical Education and CME courses are delivered across the globe.
Dr. Prashant is a fitness enthusiast and in his free time, he can be found at his local gym or on the road covering several miles as a long-distance runner. Having played at the county level while in Ireland, cricket remains his first game of choice.
Vijayakumar Kathirvel
CO-FOUNDER & CTO
With more than 25 years of experience in driving the Digital Transformation strategies for Multinational Enterprises in the Healthcare, BFSI, Manufacturing, Retail, and Distribution industry, Vijay brings on-board an excellent mix of skills, passion, and experience to lead the technology initiatives at Apricus Med-Tech. Vijay is an ardent practitioner of CMMi and PRINCE 2 methodology. On the academic front, he holds a post-graduate engineering degree in Software Systems and is a proud alumnus of BITS Pilani. He also holds an MBA in Financial Services Management from Anna University.
Before joining Apricus Med-Tech, Vijay’s immediate past assignment was ‘Director-Professional Services’ with Incadea, a Munich headquartered Automotive Retail IT organization where he managed multi-country ERP rollouts for key automotive OEMs and was also instrumental in setting up a Global Service Helpdesk in India. Prior to Incadea, he served as the ‘Global Delivery Head’ at 3i infotech Limited, where he led a number of complex ERP consulting and delivery engagements for customers in over 50 countries across 5 continents resulting in annual revenue of $20 million.
During weekends, he loves to go for long drives and feels equally passionate about cooking and playing badminton.
Yogesh Deshmane
Co-founder & President, Business Strategy
Yogesh is an entrepreneur and an Enterprise Sales Professional. At Apricus Med-Tech, he leads Business Strategy and the Sales & Marketing functions.
He brings on board a total of 15 years of rich experience in closing enterprise deals with some of the marquee customers across the globe. In his immediate past assignment before starting Apricus Med-Tech he was leading the New Sales and Key Account Management teams for an Automotive IT multi-national headquartered in Munich, Germany.
Early in his career, he co-founded a technology start-up in India, lead the operations for 4 years, and had a successful exit.
In his free time, Yogesh loves reading books, playing with his kid and spending time with his family.
